Because it reflects over and over on how we don’t deserve the grace God has given us, and yet… God gave it to us freely. It focuses on our weaknesses and how god is still glorified when we turn to Him. Thinking about the story of Sampson (Judges 13-16), I love how it proves our frailty.

Ever since he was in his mother’s womb, Samson’s family knew that his strength was of the Lord. However, the Philistines thought it was human power. They and Delilah tried to subdue him using human measures (Judges 16:6-16). The only way they won was because the went against the Lord.

We too have the spiritual strength of God within us. We are strengthened so that we know we can rely on God and face any challenge that surrounds us (Philippians 4:13). Go boldly in the strength of the Lord knowing that He fights our battles (2 Chronicles 20).
