“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32, NIV). This verse tells us that the kindness and forgiveness that we have experienced from God is something that we should share with others as well. As a fruit of the Spirit, we know that this type of kindness that is discussed here is not something that comes naturally to humans.

Being kind is finding ways and moments to be considerate, putting others before yourself. Our human nature demands over and over that we see ourselves as most important. But Biblical kindness is when we choose to love and serve because our Heavenly Father chose to love and serve.

2 Timothy 2:24 says “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, bot resentful” (NIV). Being kind to everyone is something that is challenging, literally impossible. But why would God call us to something we cannot do? Because we can do it with the power of His Spirit. You are kind.
